Today's Happenings

Today Makana woke with a fever. She has these little bumps all over her too. They have been slowly appearing for many days now. Look sort of like an allergic type of rash. But now I see a couple on her hands and cheek. She has been in my arms alot today. Needs me alot. Doing lots of sleeping in my arms, reading and nursing. She still wants to eat and drink.

Katie had a brush up for the Wizard of Oz play at the Lincoln Street Theatre for the Arts in Rockland. She said the directors said the kids at the theatre have been too loud. She said she has to help get the other kids to not fight and be quieter because the directors are busy helping the kids on stage.

Katie rec'd a letter from her friend Hannah in NJ and said that she felt sad that Hannah had to go to school.

Makana seemed better, so I tried to teach ballet for the YouthLinks program in Rockland. It didn't work out as Makana wanted to be held and wanted to go home. They appreciated that I showed up though and all of the kids were so polite and nice. I hope that they do this program again and I can have another go at sharing my love of ballet with them!

Li played on Club Penguin, watched TV, and played on his DS. He is really good at manuevering all the controls for the Spiderman DS game! I am amazed! And he is learning how to read as I hear him say aloud certain words he sees on Club Penguin. Cool!
