Lincolnville Beach

Wow! Our first day at the beach! Li had on his bathing suit and Kana put hers over her clothes.

We did a couple of errands and there we were at the beach! We played in the sand, made sandcastles and walked way out (really low tide) to the mud flats where we found either a baby shrimp or baby lobster. It was see through and flopped around on and off. Makana had a blast digging in the dirt and sand. Li met a little boy named AJ and invited him to make sand castles and pyramids with us. (Li is getting into pyramids...maybe from reading the Sir Cumference books and other books by that author which we've recently been rereading.) Li made sure to exchange phone numbers with the other boy's mom as we may meet there again sometime.

Saw Harry and Marsha and met their grandson Devon there! Harry was the person who thought it was a baby lobster.

Katie stayed in the car reading the book that I just picked up from the library; "Thirteen." She was anxious to get home to call Keely and pick out clothes for school and go off to her play. Eventually she came out of the car and had some fun it the water. With all of us in good spirits, we returned home for a snack before heading out again.

Dropped Katie off at the play for rehearsal and then the show. We met the Splatter Kids people and picked up their art schedule as I know my kids will love it! Met some homeschooler friends by the fencing class going on.

Dropped off videos at Rockland Library. Went to scooter in the parking lot by Armelle's house. Armelle was at the library at an art class. It is a free drawing class and if the kids want to go, we will join it next week. Scootered for a long time, watched an orange kitty spray urine on the funeral home foundation, followed the kitty all over talking about cats, Beacon our old cat in Maui, and how animals claim their territory. Played capture the flag. Met Armelle and her family on their way home. Shared our cookies with Jacinta, chatted with Armelle while Makana scootered again and pretended to drive the car and showed her doggy book to Jacinta. Li ended up scootering and then playing some sort of basketball game with some other boys who showed up.

Left and met Jim at Katie's play. Headed home with just Makana as Jim took the other two to find hair dye.

A good day in all!
