Li's Number Realizations

While I was cleaning the bathroom, Li (6 1/2 yrs) stood by the door and said You know what? and proceded to tell me that the second digit of numbers increase by one digit to get the next number. (The numbers go 10, 11, 12, 13, etc.) He said it works for 1's (meaning 10's) and 2's (meaning 20's). It is so cool how he contemplated things and then understands them. This is one of my favorite things to be a part of with the kids: sharing in their learning and realizations and being there when they figure things out! I am honored when my kids share their thoughts with me!
